The name says it all
Fundamentos –
Spanish for “foundations”.
Every building, every company and every energy asset is only as strong as the foundation it stands on. This simple truth defines how we invest: we look for substance – in locations, in business models, in people.
As an independent firm we invest without fund constraints and without pressure to sell. That allows us to base every decision on a single question: does this investment create lasting value?

Fundamentos is the entrepreneurial home of Dennis Kowtzun. As Founder & CEO he takes personal responsibility for every investment decision – from first review to long-term stewardship.
Short paths, clear words and personal accountability instead of anonymous structures: that is the standard Fundamentos is run by.
Location
At home in Grunewald.
Our office on Koenigsallee in Berlin-Grunewald is a deliberate choice: a place with history, surrounded by established substance – and at the same time twenty minutes from the city’s start-up scene.
That tension between permanence and new beginnings defines Berlin. And it defines our portfolio.
